bob gherardi
Born and raised in suburban New Jersey, Bob Gherardi’s artistic vision is formed by experiences with the people and places around him: visually interesting objects and hallowed places, emotional memories, and events and their associations.
Recently, Bob’s work was featured on the cover and center spread of the Art Buzz™ Fine Art, where he was awarded top honor. His work is often selected in juried exhibitions with distinguished jurors from The MET, The Guggenheim, and The Whitney museums. Most recently, Cara Manes, collection specialist of The MoMA, chose his work to be exhibited in The Wide Open 8 National Juried Art Show, Brooklyn, NY.
His paintings are featured in the books, The Powerfully Beautiful and The Art of Man Quarterly Journal Vol.4, where his work graces the cover. Both of these publications reside in the Thomas J. Watson Library in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. You can also find his work in the May/June 2018 issue of Watercolor Artist Magazine where his work was one of nine selected from thousands for their Watermedia Showcase competition and in the Dec/Jan. 2019 issue of International Artist Magazine where his painting, "I Promise" is featured in their landscape competition.
He earned his BFA at Syracuse University. His work is in private collections all over the world. Bob currently resides in Stewartsville, NJ with his wife and son.
