Kelly Singleton

Kelly Singleton (b.1971) creates paintings that reflect her love for wildlife and the places they inhabit. Her paintings are the result of many hours spent observing and photographing wildlife, followed by many more hours behind her easel striving to breathe life into her subjects.

From an early age, Kelly developed a passion for wildlife and wild places. Her talent was recognized and encouraged early on. She received her formal education from the Maryland Institute College of Art where she graduated with a BFA in illustration. She has furthered her training by taking workshops with prominent artists she admires.

Singleton makes frequent trips into local and national parks of North America to observe and photograph wildlife. These trips fuel inspiration for new work. The artist feels this is the best part of being a wildlife painter; having these experiences in nature. She hopes that her excitement for the natural world shines through in her art and that it also conveys the importance of preserving nature.

She is an award-winning Signature Member of the Society of Animal Artists. Her paintings have been showcased in many prestigious wildlife and western art exhibits in North America and her work is in many private collections.

Singleton and her husband, Jimmy currently reside in Havre de Grace, Maryland.
